Infectious Disease Physician Position Overview:
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible
Infectious Disease Physician
to join our dynamic medical team. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, a passion for infectious disease management, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
What We’re Looking For
Licensed MD with current privileges at Baton Rouge General
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
Current Louisiana medical license, DEA Certification, and medical specialty certification (if applicable)
Minimum of 3 years of active practice preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong diagnostic, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Knowledgeable in ethical, legal, and educational aspects of medical practice
What You’ll Do
Provide consultation and management of infectious diseases across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex cases, including antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention.
Participate in hospital committees, teaching opportunities, and clinical research if desired.
Contribute to system-wide efforts to control and prevent infectious disease outbreaks.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.
Eligible for medical licensure in [State].
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
