Available Locations : Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA About the role As Vice President and Head of Product Design at Cloudflare, you will lead design teams across our product portfolio. You will guide the feel of interfaces, simplify complex problems, and enable powerful experiences for users of all types. You will create a vision, establish a roadmap, and ensure high-quality delivery. The Product Design organization includes Product Designers, User Researchers, Design Operations, Design Engineering, and Design Systems. This role reports to the President of Product & Engineering. You will work closely with the leadership team, product and engineering leaders, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Building a talented, diverse, and inclusive team will be key to your success and Cloudflare’s products generally. What you'll do Lead, mentor and grow the Product Design organization at Cloudflare including product design, design operations, design engineering, and user research. Build and enhance design principles and practices. Foster a culture of diversity and inclusiveness. Work with engineering and product leaders to establish near-term and long-term product vision. Refine and enhance the Cloudflare design team culture and export best practices to product teams across the organization. Utilize quantitative and qualitative data and translate it into accessible service and interface design. Own the design, UX, and product experience best practices to refine and elevate the Cloudflare design team culture across the organization. Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience Experience leading world-class, sizable product design teams at technology companies (B2B a plus). Proven track record building and developing diverse design teams. Experience leading design engineering teams across multiple product lines and design systems. Deep empathy with and understanding of users’ needs. Experience leading product research teams. Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills. 15+ years product/UX design experience. Technical expertise, curiosity and an understanding of network services. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $352,000 - $430,000 For New York based hires: Estimated annual salary of $337,000 - $411,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
