We're excited to welcome a permanent Emergency Room Physician to our team. The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide care to a wide range of patients in a 14,000-volume ER. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, management of acute conditions, and performing procedures such as intubations, chest tubes, and critical care. Team Size:
24-hour physician coverage with 12 hours of mid-level support during peak hours. Culture:
Collaborative, patient-focused, and supportive. Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (day/night/weekend/holiday rotations). Responsibilities
Provide prompt, compassionate care to patients in critical need, treating each one with respect and empathy. Assess and stabilize patients efficiently, ensuring a smooth transition to appropriate care settings. Collaborate with a supportive team of nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals every day. Communicate clearly with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps. Keep detailed, up-to-date medical records to ensure consistency and quality in patient care. Engage in ongoing professional development and share best practices with colleagues. Contribute to creating a friendly, efficient, and safe environment in the emergency room. Qualifications
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine with a genuine passion for delivering care that truly makes a difference. Proven experience thriving in fast-paced, high-stress emergency environments while keeping a calm and friendly attitude. Excellent decision-making skills that balance swift action with compassionate, patient-centered care. Strong communicator who builds trust with both patients and colleagues, ensuring a supportive team atmosphere. Adept at handling a wide range of emergency cases, always with a smile and a commitment to quality care. Dedicated to ongoing learning and professional growth in the ever-evolving field of emergency medicine. Enthusiastic about contributing to a permanent team that values kindness, collaboration, and exceptional care. Years of Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of emergency medicine experience with extensive trauma exposure. Specialized Experience:
FM/IM candidates with ED experience, including trauma logs, accepted; ABEM preferred. Prior Duties:
Emergency care, including management of trauma and acute care cases. Education:
Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine. Licenses:
Eligible for a North Dakota Medical License. Certifications:
ACLS, PALS, ATLS required. Personality Factors:
Team-oriented, skilled communicator, and confident in high-stress situations. Systems Used:
Meditech EHR. Ideal Candidate Features:
Comfortable with all ages, procedures, and trauma cases.
