It drives thought leadership, generates knowledge, and creates tools and resources designed to enhance and accelerate the impact investing industry. The role of Chief Partnership Officer at the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) is a strategic executive position. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPO will spearhead the strategic direction and management of the organization’s fundraising strategies and grants management. The CPO will engage as a key member of the executive team, contributing to the mission evolution, strategy development, and external relations of the organization. Significant responsibilities include overseeing the development of strategic funding partnerships, cultivating prospective donors, and developing a comprehensive annual work plan to support GIIN’s financial health and resilience. The role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a collaborative spirit to promote the organization’s commitment to investing in a just and sustainable world. Responsibilities
Engage as a member of the GIIN’s Executive Team and contribute to strategy development. Promote GIIN’s mission, priorities, and involvement in fundraising initiatives. Lead the creation and execution of a multi-year strategy and donor engagement plan. Develop strategic funding partnerships and oversee compelling proposal creation. Identify and cultivate prospective donors for high-value grants and partnerships. Manage donor relationships and ensure transparent communication and trust. Supervise and inspire the Development team to meet objectives and enhance effectiveness. Oversee professional development plans and coaching for direct reports. Requirements
Comprehensive management skills and experience in planning, evaluation, and governance. Proven ability to influence and garner support for Development goals across the organization. Experience in designing and implementing fundraising strategies. Demonstrated competency in forming strategic partnerships and proposal development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven track record of cultivating relationships with high-value donors and partners. 15+ years of senior leadership roles in mission-driven organizations. Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred. Benefits
