Overview

The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) is seeking an Executive Search Leader for Inclusive Leadership and Social Impact, Partner and Co-Founder at Bridge Partners. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is based in New York City with significant remote work flexibility under GIIN’s hybrid in-person/remote model. The Leader will head a team of six with four direct reports and play a central part in GIIN’s executive leadership, fundraising strategy, and external relations. Role scope

Participate as a member of the GIIN Executive Team; contribute to mission evolution, strategy development, organizational planning, and execution. Engage with the Board, Executive Team, and broader staff to achieve revenue targets and mobilize donor/partner involvement in GIIN fundraising initiatives. Act as GIIN spokesperson; articulate the GIIN’s mission, priorities, and work, and represent its position on impact investing issues. Promote GIIN values and mission; model behavior and mentor staff to reflect commitment to human dignity, justice, equality, and respect. Fundraising and Partnership Development

Lead the development and execution of a multi-year fundraising strategy to increase revenue, expand the donor base, and diversify funding sources. Oversee strategic funding partnerships, including proposal development, budgeting, timelines, and collaboration with program and finance teams. Identify and cultivate prospective donors to secure high-value grants and partnerships. Develop an annual work plan and lead the team in its execution; ensure rigorous grant management and reporting. Coordinate with the Finance team to track grant budgets, provide revenue forecasts, and ensure compliance with regulatory and funder obligations. Oversee timely, high-quality donor reports and maintain donor relationships in alignment with programmatic priorities. Communicate transparently to maintain trust and adapt engagement to evolving priorities. Department & Team Management

Supervise and inspire the Development team to achieve fundraising objectives; manage department portfolio, personnel, and budget. Provide professional development and coaching to direct reports. The Leader

Required competencies include leadership, relationship management, industry knowledge, and a track record in fundraising and stakeholder engagement. Leadership & Management

Comprehensive management experience across planning, execution, financial management, and governance. Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders to support fundraising goals. Strategic thinker who can synthesize complex issues and make decisions in ambiguity. Proven ability to design and implement fundraising strategies while managing day-to-day fundraising operations. Experience building win-win strategic partnerships; ability to translate funder interests into GIIN priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capability to guide proposal development and communicate complex themes clearly. Relationship Management & Donor Stewardship

Proven ability to cultivate and sustain high-value donor relationships and strategic partners. Effective communication across diverse cultures; strong external communications and public speaking skills. Ability to collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure alignment and drive integrated fundraising efforts. Experience mentoring and leading a fundraising team with clear objectives and professional growth opportunities. Industry Knowledge

Belief in capital deployment as a tool for social and environmental impact. Understanding of the impact investing market is beneficial; familiarity with impact measurement tools is a plus. Interest in investing and capital markets and diverse investor types is beneficial. Professional Experience

15+ years in progressively senior leadership roles within mission-driven organizations. 10+ years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing major donor and institutional grants (six to seven figures). Experience with diverse donor pools; success with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, foundations; experience with private sector donors and government funders preferred. CRM/donor-management experience preferred; Salesforce knowledge a plus. Commitment to human dignity, justice, equality, and respect; ongoing learning in these areas. Education

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Related fields include Business, Finance, Public Policy. Work Authorization & Compensation

Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Salary range: $180,000–$205,000, plus up to $20,000 in performance-based incentive compensation; exact salary based on experience; comprehensive benefits package.
