CFO
— Brooklyn, NY (in-office). $200K-$350K (DOE) A growing manufacturing company is seeking a CFO to lead its accounting and finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a dynamic manufacturing and distribution business. The CFO will partner closely with the Controller and accounting team to manage day-to-day financial operations while also driving strategic growth initiatives, ensuring compliance, and supporting company-wide decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, trusted advisor and skilled at building strong processes, overseeing legal and financial compliance, and collaborating with leadership to scale operations effectively. Responsibilities
Provide
financial leadership
across the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters Oversee and support the Controller, A/R, A/P, and accounting staff in
day-to-day financial operations Manage
legal and compliance matters , coordinating with external counsel as needed Partner with other department heads to ensure alignment on
budgets, reporting, and forecasting Develop and implement
financial strategies
that support growth and profitability Monitor
cash flow, capital planning, and risk management Prepare and present
financial reports
to ownership and leadership team Act as a
key advisor to ownership , with the potential to transition into the CFO role Qualifications
10+ years of senior-level financial management experience, with at least 5 years in
manufacturing or distribution Track record of managing
mid-size company finances
($30–50M revenue) Strong knowledge of
GAAP, compliance, and corporate finance best practices Proven ability to handle
legal and contractual responsibilities Hands-on management experience with
teams of 30–50 employees
(including hybrid/virtual staff) Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ideal Candidate
Sophisticated, strategic thinker with an eye for detail Hands-on leader, willing to “dig in” when needed but capable of high-level vision Strong collaborator who thrives in cross-departmental settings Apply
