Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Engineering for DevSecOps to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our secure software delivery platforms. This role is critical to embedding security practices into our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and developer tooling. You will drive initiatives that align security, engineering, and operations to build a high-trust engineering environment that scales with the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead and grow engineering teams focused on secure CI/CD pipelines, security automation, policy-as-code, secrets management, SBOM generation, and supply chain security.
Define and drive the roadmap for DevSecOps platforms, services, and integrations across the SDLC
Partner with security, platform, and application teams to implement guardrails and developer-friendly controls that balance velocity with compliance and risk reduction
Champion “shift-left” principles by embedding security tools and checks early in the development process
Drive adoption of best practices in secure coding, vulnerability management, and runtime protection
Foster a culture of shared responsibility for security across engineering teams
Lead cross-functional initiatives to meet compliance and audit requirements with minimal friction
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or security engineering, with 7+ years in leadership roles
Deep expertise in secure software development, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure security, and cloud-native security tooling
Hands-on experience with tools such as SAST/DAST scanners, container/image security platforms, IaC security, and secrets management systems (e.g., Vault, SOPS)
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS) and integrating security into engineering workflows
Proven success driving security automation and reducing friction in development and deployment workflows
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence across engineering, product, and compliance teams
Passionate about enabling secure innovation through scalable systems and thoughtful engineering
Compensation and Benefits The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. The targeted pay range for this position in the United States (Dallas Infomart Office) is 202,000 - 304,000 USD per year. Individual pay is based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The range reflects base pay and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Eligible for bonus; equity may be offered depending on the position.
