Overview

Willdan Performance Engineering, a subsidiary of Willdan, is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager. Willdan Performance Engineering is a national full-service design-build engineering, construction, and energy services company (ESCO) with offices in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and Kansas. Responsibilities

Oversee several concurrent mid-sized energy retrofit construction projects in Northern California. Provide valuable cost and constructability input during the design phase. Coordinate the bid process, including the pre-bid walkthrough. Subcontract administration including the preparation of Subcontract Agreements; coordinate submittal process; schedule, supervise, and coordinate Subcontractor activities; direct construction meetings between subcontractors, Willdan, and Owner. Ensure construction progresses as scheduled. Prepare detailed three-week schedules based on the overall construction schedule. Update the overall schedule monthly and the three-week schedule weekly, ensuring adherence to the contract completion date. Ensure construction specifications are adhered to. Act as liaison between subcontractors and engineers to ensure work complies with project requirements. Establish quality control procedures and safety practices. Provide assignments and mentorship to project staff. Manage project cost control and forecasting systems. Provide monthly cost vs. budget reports to project stakeholders. Maintain Construction Management Software in accordance with company guidelines. Travel by company car throughout the Northern California region as required to construction sites and office locations. Job Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering / construction management or other construction-related field. Valid Driver's License. 4–6 years of total professional experience that includes a wide range of experience in field operations and construction means and methods, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the proper knowledge and experience. Knowledge of the construction process; knowledge of the ESCO design and commissioning process is preferred. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial and institutional facilities is preferred. Ability to lead in identifying, correcting or avoiding potential schedule, budget, or quality issues. Ability to make decisions balancing cost implications to avoid disruptions. Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance of employees and Subcontractors. Desire and capability to lead others in the construction process. Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop client relationships and respond to client concerns in a timely manner. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to manage project documentation and multiple activities/projects. Certification as a PMP, or the desire to gain certification, is a plus. Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb a ladder. OSHA 30 Certification. Equal Opportunity
