Field Reimbursement Manager - Midwest (IL, MO, KS)
Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) position at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. The FRM educates HCPs and staff on access and coverage to facilitate patient access. The role coordinates with the Hub regarding individual patient cases, patient support services referrals, enrollment, and overall coordination. The FRM collaborates cross-functionally with Field Reimbursement Director, Field Sales, Patient Services Case Management, Specialty Pharmacy Liaisons, and other matrix partners while following corporate and industry policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Analyze payer criteria Provide offices product access expertise Collaborate with Alnylam colleagues and educate field teams on patient support services Educate HCPs and staff on enrollment into program offers, including assisting with missing information Help minimize access barriers to improve time to treatment Educate HCPs on payer processes, procedures, and appeals requirements (local payers, government payers, etc.) Explain product coverage under benefit designs (Commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid) Answer questions about coverage and ICD-10 codes, including patient-specific access questions Educate and update HCPs on payer coverage changes affecting product access Support patient access by providing subject matter expertise on access issues in compliance with policies and SOPs Educate HCPs on the Hub program including reimbursement, financial assistance, and Hub tools Provide information on resources and forms for access and reimbursement Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and prioritization related to account management Qualifications
BS/BA Degree required 3 years’ experience as a field reimbursement specialist, biologic coordinator, clinic practice manager, or relevant reimbursement experience Experience navigating Prior Authorization processes for pharmacy and medical benefit coverage Cardiology or Rare Disease experience preferred Proven experience working with Hubs; deep understanding of Hub activities; knowledge on PA/appeals across payer types Knowledge of commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid in the geographic region Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including overnights and/or weekends About Alnylam
