Job Title: Compensation Accounting Specialist - Global PE
Location: Boston, MA (Back Bay) | Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 remote About the Role
A leading global private equity firm is seeking a Compensation Accounting professional to join its finance team in Boston. This role offers exposure to both U.S. and international payroll, compensation accounting, and close collaboration with internal finance and HR teams. Manage end-to-end payroll processes (U.S. focus, UK exposure a plus). Validate payroll inputs/outputs including benefits, 401k contributions, and premiums. Prepare payroll journal entries and monthly salary accruals; assist with monthly close activities. Maintain payroll records, reconciliations, and reporting to support management and auditors. Partner with third-party providers, auditors, and internal teams to ensure data accuracy. Contribute to compensation accounting, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. 1–4 years payroll experience; U.S. payroll required, UK/international payroll a plus. Knowledge of accounting procedures; GL payroll entries a plus. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll/HR systems (e.g., Workday). Highly detail-oriented, confidential, and able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Why Apply?
