BCG Attorney Search
A law firm seeks a Law and Motion Attorney to join their landlord-tenant team in Concord, CA. The successful candidate will assist in filing and trying unlawful detainer cases on behalf of clients. This position offers an optional work-from-home arrangement and is full-time.
Duties
Draft motions and oppositions for unlawful detainer cases. Facilitate the discovery phase by propounding and responding to discovery. Draft and negotiate stipulations and settlement agreements. Prepare cases for trial, including drafting trial briefs and motions in limine. Perform legal research and provide recommendations on legal issues. Respond to client questions to increase and retain business. Assist with occasional court appearances. Attend local property management events to increase firm visibility. Requirements
J.D. and an active California Bar license. 2+ years' experience as a licensed California attorney. General overview of civil litigation. Strong research and writing skills. Landlord-tenant law experience. Familiarity with Lexis or other legal research software. Education
