Overview
This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) under the IT Support Services contract. NSWCDD is responsible for delivering warfare systems to protect our nation and defeat our adversaries. The contract provides support for IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and operations across classified and unclassified environments. Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and maintains an organization's network infrastructure. Architects complex network systems that support business operations, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based environments. Evaluates emerging technologies, plans upgrades, and ensures that network solutions align with strategic goals. Oversees the configuration and deployment of networking hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Monitors network performance, troubleshoots advanced issues, and implements security protocols to safeguard against threats. Mentors junior engineers, delegates tasks, and provides technical guidance to ensure the team operates efficiently. Manages network-related projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors to meet deadlines and budget constraints. Qualifications
Six (6) years of professional work and leadership experience in design and implementation in LAN/WAN corporate environments using Cisco, Juniper, TCP/IP and VoIP technologies with routers, switches, fiber optics, firewalls and cable plant designs. Required Clearance Level: Top Secret (T5) Required Certification: IAT Level II or III Benefits
