Overview We are seeking a strategic and hands-on
HRIS Director
to lead the management, optimization, and ongoing development of our Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. This role is central to enhancing HR operations through effective system configuration, data integrity, and process automation. You will partner closely with HR, IT, Payroll, and business leaders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of platforms such as
UKG Pro ,
Cornerstone OnDemand , and
iCIMS , driving alignment between HR technology and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Leadership & Strategy:
Oversee the standardization and continuous improvement of HCM systems across the organization. Lead a team of HRIS professionals, both directly and indirectly, to ensure system stability, user adoption, and innovation. Ensure the UKG platform is effectively integrated with HR strategy, operations, and other core systems.
System Administration:
Configure, maintain, and optimize HRIS platforms to support HR policies and business needs. Manage security settings, user access, and system permissions. Lead system selection and implementation initiatives, including RFP processes and vendor management.
Data Management & Integrity:
Maintain and audit employee records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance across all HR systems. Conduct regular data uploads and mass changes related to employee personal information, roles, and compensation. Analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
Payroll & Time System Integration:
Ensure seamless data flow between HRIS and payroll systems, including benefits, time, and attendance. Support payroll operations with data imports, audits, BI reporting, and issue resolution. Collaborate with Payroll to address inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance.
Reporting & Analytics:
Develop and manage dashboards and reports (standard, custom, and compliance-based). Analyze HR data to identify trends and support strategic decisions. Prepare headcount, EEO, Affirmative Action, and other compliance-related reporting. Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights that align with business priorities.
User Support & Training:
Provide training and guidance to HR staff and system users to improve efficiency and adoption. Troubleshoot technical issues and offer responsive support for all HRIS platforms. Implement intuitive dashboards and tools tailored to business users’ needs.
Compliance & Auditing:
Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and ensure alignment with labor and data privacy regulations. Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to HR and employee data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
8+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations and/or HRIS systems leadership.
Expertise in HRIS platforms such as
UKG Pro ,
Cornerstone OnDemand , and
iCIMS
strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with
Cognos BI
and
SQL
is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of HR functions, including organizational management, benefits, leave administration, compliance, and payroll.
Experience mapping HR processes and optimizing the employee lifecycle through automation and technology.
Strong data analysis skills with proven ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
Proven ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
