Overview
Eurofins Built Environment Testing offers Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) services to protect health in built environments. Services cover asbestos (PLM/TEM), mold, bacteria, VOCs, allergens, Legionella, radon, lead, silica, and more. The Analyst performs TEM analysis and supports QA, data reporting, and laboratory operations at the Seattle, WA location. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze environmental samples for asbestos using TEM microscopy. Adhere to EPA, NVLAP, ELAP, OSHA, and NIOSH standards for asbestos identification. Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS; validate and review data for accuracy. Schedule sample workload according to due dates and hold times; operate job-specific laboratory equipment with discretion. Perform independent data reviews for other analysts; analyze reference materials, proficiency samples, and other QA samples as needed. Maintain client service and provide technical support; assist QA manager in developing and implementing QA processes. Confirm lab results as needed by client services personnel; complete QA-related tasks for analytical testing. Pursue, receive, and maintain necessary laboratory accreditations; maintain training and QA documents onsite. Coordinate and manage projects according to rush status and due time for timely delivery; assist coworkers with analytical questions. Participate in Lean initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Qualifications
1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy. Undergraduate degree in Geology, Biology, or related science, or TEM Asbestos training course. Experience utilizing a Transmission Electron Microscope is preferred. Willingness to relocate to Seattle, WA; Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Compensation and Schedule
Compensation range: $23 - $27 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime or weekend work as needed.
