Join Fish’s Litigation Practice Systems Department as a Litigation Case Manager.

Responsibilities

Perform various case management tasks, including indirect supervision of paralegals and litigation assistants.

Anticipate and plan for all phases of litigation with minimal direction from supervising attorney.

Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including preparation for filing of lawsuit, discovery, trial preparation and attendance at trial.

Organize and analyze documents, including the identification and appropriate handling of confidential and privileged materials.

Train, indirectly supervise and mentor senior paralegals, paralegals, and litigation assistants in all aspects of litigation support; provide them with periodic feedback regarding their performance throughout the year.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or specialized equivalent experience (or paralegal certificate recognized by the ABA with the required experience).

Minimum of 5 years’ of current litigation experience, including significant experience handling fact and expert discovery, and pre-trial/post-trial disclosures and briefings.

Knowledge of Federal and State Court rules.

IP litigation experience is required.

Experience with Markman hearings and handling investigations before the International Trade Commission, and Federal Circuit appellate work is preferred.

Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with principals, attorneys, clients and staff both in person and remotely.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Relativity, Everchron, ProLaw, Lexis and Westlaw.

Ability to travel as needed. Ability to work in the Houston, Boston or Atlanta office a minimum of 1 day per week and more as required.
