A nationally recognized plaintiffs’ law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Emeryville, California office. This role is ideal for an attorney passionate about representing individuals harmed by corporate misconduct, particularly in asbestos-related litigation. The position involves intensive case management, client contact, and courtroom experience. The firm provides an in-office, collaborative work environment focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for clients facing some of the most challenging moments in their lives.

Duties
Handle a full caseload of asbestos and toxic tort litigation matters Draft and respond to written discovery Take and defend depositions Draft and argue motions Serve as second chair at trial and assist with all phases of trial preparation Maintain regular, empathetic communication with clients and their families Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategy and achieve client goals Travel regularly for client meetings, depositions, and court appearances Requirements
Commitment to plaintiff-side litigation and advocating for injury victims Willingness to travel frequently as required for case work Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds Prior experience in litigation tasks (e.g., discovery, motions, depositions) preferred but not required Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school Certifications
Active and in good standing with the California State Bar (required) Skills
