We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join an amazing organization with a culture of service to the community. The CFO is responsible for the organization's fiscal operating results utilizing generally accepted accounting principles with a focus on cost accounting, budgets, financial planning & analysis, regulatory and government reporting. Counsels senior leadership on fiscal controls, profitability and risk. Prepares and interprets financial reports to the executive team and board of trustees, adhering to tax laws and regulatory compliance to properly reflect the financial position of the organization.
This role oversees the following functions:
Finance and Accounting
Tax and Treasury
Financial Planning, Investments and Budgets
Human Resources
Information Technology
Lending Functions
This position serves as a member of the Senior Executive team, participating in the formulation and implementation of major policies and objectives, including strategic planning initiatives. This role attends and presents to board meetings, subcommittee meetings and internal management meetings as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintains high ethical standards while performing all duties in accordance with the organization\'s internal policies and procedures.
Provides the maintenance of financial records and the preparation of various financial statements and reports for management and the board of trustees.
Develops, coordinates and implements the organization\'s budgeting process; prepares schedules; inputs and generates the budget. Monitors ongoing performance and recommends budgetary revisions as warranted.
Ensures the development and maintenance of effective controls within all areas of assigned oversight: accounting, human resources, information technology, and lending.
Serves as point of contact with external audit firm. Develops a comprehensive audit program and schedule of review to ensure procedures are compliant.
Serves as Investment Officer. Ensures quality of investment portfolio. Develops and implements investment policy. Initiates purchases and sales within policy parameters.
Leads through service and develops teams to achieve exemplary results through effective coaching, mentorship and development opportunities.
Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree Required, in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study. Masters Degree preferred
Seven to ten years of progressive managerial experience in accounting, finance within a small to medium sized financial institution
High Ethical standards
Strong Organizational, analytical and planning skills
Exemplary communication and leadership skills
High proficiency in technology software programs and applications
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Supervisory Scope: 4 to 8 direct reports
Compensation: $180k + range
