Responsibilities
Direct all aspects of spa operations, including guest services, treatment areas, wellness programs, and amenities, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience. Lead, inspire, and develop a team of spa professionals, including therapists, aestheticians, and front desk staff, fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and personalized service. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality in collaboration with housekeeping and engineering teams. Design and implement service menus, wellness offerings, and seasonal promotions aligned with luxury trends and guest expectations. Monitor and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and personalize experiences. Collaborate with resort leadership and marketing teams to promote spa services, packages, and brand positioning. Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate innovative wellness practices and technologies. Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement of spa products and equipment. Working Conditions
Operates in a serene, indoor spa environment within a luxury resort setting. Requires collaboration with multiple departments and occasional attendance at resort events or meetings. Work Hours
Must be able to work a schedule set by the General Manager or Hotel Manager Flexibility required, including weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods. Must be able to work more than 50 hours per week. Equipment Use
Proficient in spa management software, POS systems, and standard office tools. Familiarity with spa treatment equipment and retail inventory systems. Mental and Physical Demands
Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills. Communication Demands
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead team meetings, deliver training, and interact with high-profile guests and stakeholders. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment preferred. Proven expertise in spa operations, wellness programming, and guest service excellence. Previous hands-on experience as a therapist (massage, aesthetics, acupuncture) preferred. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving revenue. TB clearance card as required by the Hawaii State Department of Health. Seniority level
