Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) | Los Angeles, CA The Opportunity LAWA is seeking a dynamic, forward-looking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a pivotal role at a critical inflection point for one of the world’s busiest and most complex airport systems. The CFO will steward LAWA’s financial health, lead modernization through a major Oracle Cloud ERP implementation (go-live July 2026), and oversee financing of LAWA’s multi-billion-dollar capital improvement plan. This is an opportunity to shape the future of aviation in Los Angeles, ensure long-term financial resiliency, and serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, CAO, Board of Airport Commissioners, and the executive team. Responsibilities
Financial Stewardship
— Lead all finance functions including accounting, reporting, budgeting, rates and charges, payroll, financial systems, and risk management. Strategic Planning & Analysis
— Build a robust FP&A function to enhance financial modeling, evaluate opportunities, quantify risk, and provide actionable insights. Capital Program Funding
— Develop and implement financing strategies for LAWA’s capital program, including bond issuances and debt management. ERP Implementation
— Drive successful transition to Oracle Cloud ERP, ensuring integration and organizational adoption. Financial Planning
— Lead a transparent, inclusive budget process accessible to both leadership and operating divisions. Enterprise Risk Management
— Advance a comprehensive, organization-wide approach to risk identification and mitigation. Board & Stakeholder Engagement
— Present regularly to the Board of Airport Commissioners, Audit Committee, and external stakeholders. Talent Development & Succession
— Recruit, mentor, and retain finance professionals across a 139-person finance team. Cross-Functional Partnership
— Serve as a thought partner to HR, procurement, capital development, and commercial functions. Professional Attributes

Expertise in accounting, budgeting, rates & charges, debt management, and risk management. Demonstrated success in capital markets, debt issuance, and complex financing structures. Hands-on ERP experience (Oracle preferred) and finance modernization leadership. Strong enterprise-level risk management capability. Proven success in large-scale, complex organizations; airport or public enterprise experience strongly preferred. Exceptional communication and board-level engagement skills. Skilled in talent development and succession planning. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. At least 8 years of senior management-level experience in finance, accounting, or a related discipline with proven leadership. Master’s degree desirable. To Apply
