The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based member of the US Medical Affairs organization who develops and enhances professional relationships with medical thought leaders involved in various phases of product development. MSLs provide medical information through scientific exchange and clinical/scientific support for Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Medical Affairs. This field-based role covers Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi and requires professionals with established personal and scientific credibility to interact with thought leaders and academic centers of excellence. Responsibilities

KOL Development and Field Engagement: Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers within the Epilepsy therapeutic area; develop and execute territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs; identify and communicate key clinical and research issues from KOLs to appropriate departments; participate in medical education for healthcare professionals through on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, or regional meetings; provide scientific support for activities such as medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training initiatives. Positions self as Scientific Expert: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the therapy area, Jazz products, emerging research and trends, and competitive landscape; establish reputation as a trustworthy source of scientific information; support Jazz’s positioning as the scientific authority in Epilepsy; attend scientific congresses to stay current and support KOL activities. Clinical Development And Research Management: Act as primary liaison to investigators for investigator-initiated trials (IIT); monitor IITs, review study design, and oversee milestones; collaborate to support patient enrollment in sponsored clinical trials with site recommendations; serve as internal scientific advisor for evaluating new products and technologies. Medical Affairs Planning and Plan Execution: Contribute to US Medical Plan development and local strategy; manage relevant budgets where needed; collaborate cross-functionally to implement a Key Account Management approach; interact with HCPs as a scientific resource to support advisory boards, speaker development and clinical trials. Maintaining Company Standards And Jazz Values: Enhance Jazz’s image through scientific exchange and knowledge of products and disease states; document adverse events and product complaints per policy; adhere to Codes of Practice; act with integrity; maintain personal development plans and timely reporting. Required / Preferred Education And Experience

MS/Advanced Practice Degree in a scientific/medical discipline with at least 5 years of Epilepsy experience or MD, PharmD, or PhD; MSL experience in Neurology is required and Epilepsy experience strongly preferred; minimum 3 years as an MSL with a track record of success. Field position requiring 60–80% travel; valid driver’s license; ability to live within 60 miles of a major airport. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to research and analyze complex scientific information; clear and concise communication and presentation skills; excellent planning and organization; strong strategic mindset; self-motivated and autonomous work style; ability to learn quickly and adapt; strong negotiation and networking skills; experience with digital platforms and tools; excellent spoken English. Preferred: Knowledge of geography and external experts in academia; ability to build trust with opinion leaders; understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel. Compensation and Benefits

For US-based candidates: base pay range $176,000.00 – $264,000.00 with potential eligibility for discretionary bonus and equity under Jazz plans; compensation may include additional components per company programs and total compensation philosophy.
