Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting at a Glance… This Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting position will play a critical role in executing the accounting and reporting for financial instruments from recording journal entries to providing required disclosures for SEC filings in accordance with accounting guidance including ASC 815 Derivatives and Hedging. This position will interact with Risk Management, Procurement Finance, Treasury, Tax, Business Units, and external auditors. This position will perform technical accounting and research of commodity and FX hedges in order to provide management with timely information for decision-making and analysis. The role will also assist in other significant projects, which vary based on the Company’s business transactions and priorities (e.g., new policies, training initiatives, benchmarking, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, etc.). Manage the accounting and financial reporting for the company’s financial instruments (commodity hedges, foreign exchange contracts, interest rate swap contracts, etc.) Execute month end accounting entries for the global derivative portfolio Collaborate cross functionally with Risk Management, Procurement Finance, and Treasury Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to provide visibility to our business partners Maintain strong internal controls and related documentation Prepare required quarterly SEC disclosures to support external reporting requirements Assist with ad hoc requests and projects related to M&A activity as needed Research technical accounting issues and develop positions to ensure compliance with accounting rules Recipe for Success – apply now if this sounds like you!
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance/Accounting Public accounting experience and CPA preferred Detail oriented and organized with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects while operating in a fast-paced, complex global organization with shifting schedules and priorities Experience with SAP, EKA (Commodity Hedge Reporting Platform), Reval, or Hyperion Financial Management a plus Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills Ability to work efficiently and achieve high quality results Excellent analytical, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills Our Total Rewards philosophy is to provide a meaningful and flexible spectrum of programs that equitably support our diverse workforce and their families and complement Kraft Heinz’ strategy and values. New Hire Base Salary Range: $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents. The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
