Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic

FP&A Analyst

to join our growing Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to support key business decisions and financial performance in a government contracting environment. As part of a mid-sized government contractor, the FP&A Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial goals, operations, and compliance. Responsibilities

Lead the development and coordination of the company\'s annual budget and periodic forecasts. Prepare long-term financial projections, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures. Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and senior leadership to ensure budgets reflect realistic operational requirements and strategic objectives. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, highlighting key variances and trends. Analyze the financial performance of government contracts, identifying cost drivers, profitability, and compliance with contract terms. Assist in the preparation of Board-level financial reports, providing actionable insights on performance, forecasting, and cash flow. Conduct variance analysis of indirect and direct costs related to contracts, and recommend corrective actions if necessary. Work closely with senior leadership to evaluate cost-saving opportunities, pricing strategies, and cash flow management. Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in government contracting or a similar industry (defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries). Strong knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements. Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting in a government contracting context. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with senior leadership and non-financial personnel. Company EEO Statement
