The DAG to SBI will represent the Director of SBI, serve as a subject matter expert on SBI’s statutory functions, and provide legal advice on expungement matters. Provide legal advice on professional licensing, personnel management, drafting and reviewing legislation and regulations, procurement law compliance, drafting and reviewing contracts, RFPs, and representing the agency and/or agency officers and employees in court and administrative proceedings. Perform duties related to Public Safety Unit, including representing the Board of Pardons, Delaware State Police trial boards, liaising with DELJIS regarding security and dissemination of criminal history information, and handling assignments as directed. Job Requirements
Membership in the Delaware Bar is required. Most qualified candidates have some general counsel and criminal law experience; such expertise is not required for selection. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with client agencies; thorough knowledge of relevant laws and court rules. Willingness to travel within the state to meet departmental needs and schedules. Additional Posting Information
