Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing , located in the historic Denver Tramway trolley building in Denver's Theater District. Embark on a journey with us and become part of Denver\'s best-kept secret. The Assistant Director of Sales is a senior level sales manager with hotel experience and a leader of associates. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role may directly or indirectly lead sales staff and manage select accounts. The objective is to achieve revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable and win-win selling approach. Responsibilities

Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, as established by management. Targets appointment-oriented sales calls to support a direct sales program aligned with department budget and marketing plan. Requires own transportation and a valid driver\'s license to make sales calls. Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those with revenue growth potential. Captures competitor accounts through networking, research and surveys to target those most likely to generate new business. Plans and implements an ongoing Targeted Account Development effort to create new revenue and secure valuable hotel contacts and contracts. Continually targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing, creativity, and innovation. Uses yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and function space commitments to improve financial performance. Maintains well-documented, accurate, organized client files to service clients efficiently. Develops strong customer relations through professional, courteous, and ethical interaction. Develops customer profiles and maintains a trace system to meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues. Follows up promptly on customer needs and inquiries. Conducts research and surveys to understand the marketplace and territory; capitalizes on strengths and weaknesses of competitors. Focuses on revenue-producing activity, dedicating a minimum 90% of work time to direct sales efforts. Controls expenses including travel, representing the hotel and Sage with integrity. Maintains a service-focused approach and positive team attitude with open communication across hotel departments. Qualifications

Education/Formal Training:

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience:

4+ years of hotel sales experience. Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills. Fluent in spoken and written English. 12th grade level mathematics, spelling, and reading skills; effective business writing skills. Dexterity/mobility to meet clients, tour properties, attend functions, climb stairs, and operate basic office equipment. Vision to read fine print and computer screens; ability to observe rooms in varied lighting. Physical Demands
