Physician Assistant – Urologic Oncology Schedule: Full Time Responsibilities

Evaluate and diagnose health conditions in an outpatient clinical setting Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations Direct, counsel, and educate patients for comprehensive treatment protocols, including innovative techniques or procedures Prescribe medications following state statutes and professional guidelines Utilize and maintain accurate electronic medical record-keeping Review blood laboratory results Provide exemplary bedside manner, empathy, and rapport with patients Participate in other medical, clerical, and administrative duties as assigned Under supervision of the physician, diagnose and institute therapy, refer patients to appropriate facilities or resources Provide instruction and guidance regarding medical matters to patients Perform or assist with procedures such as cystoscopies, prostate needle biopsies, vasectomies, urodynamics, catheterizations, retrograde pyelograms, wound care, drain removals, and tissue preparation for pathology Perform or assist with laboratory techniques including specimen collection, ECGs, medication administration, wound care, and pre/post-operative care Contribute to multidisciplinary care, including involvement in tumor board conferences Qualifications

Education: Qualified Physician Assistants will hold at least a Bachelor's degree and be a graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited PA program Licenses/Certificates: NCCPA PANCE eligible and eligible for Massachusetts PA licensure; MA license and initial NCCPA certification required upon hire; Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances Experience: Prior experience in a similar clinical setting/specialty is preferred Knowledge and Skills: Self-directed, initiative, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment; excellent English communication skills; ability to work with diverse patient populations and health literacy levels Education, Licenses, and Regulatory

Massachusetts PA licensure and NCCPA certification as noted above; compliance with 263 CMR 5.00 and 243 CMR 2.08(7). Apply
