Overview Job title: Cath Lab Radiology Technologist (Per Diem) – East Campus. Department: EC Cardiac Catheterization. Worksite: East Campus Medical Center (Alvarado Road). Appointment Type: Per Diem; Appointment Percent: 20%; Total Openings: 1. Schedule: Days, 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday. Extension: Extended Deadline: Thu 8/28/2025. Description Under general supervision, the CCL Radiology Technologist operates digital radiological imaging equipment in accordance with guidelines outlined in Title 17. Oversees quality control procedures. Enforces radiation safety. Assists cardiologists, pulmonologists, and CV surgeons during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and OR Hybrid Room. Assists professional nursing staff with patient preparation for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Prepares, operates, and ensures proper functioning of equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy. Monitors and records events including hemodynamic calculations. Operates digital processing equipment and performs quality control. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with patient transportation as needed. Responsibilities include being on-call when assigned. Minimum Qualifications California Radiology Technologist - Fluoroscopy (CRT-F). Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)). BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within six (6) months of hire date. One (1) year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist. Knowledge of computers and new technology (CR/DR). Working knowledge of RIS and HIS. Training in another modality for cross coverage. Ability to deal tactfully with people and develop good working relationships. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience. Special Conditions Flexible hours, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call and possible overtime. Employment is subject to criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Must be able to wear lead apron. Pay and Benefits Pay Transparency Act: Annual Full Pay Range: $144,845 (prorated for appointment percentage). Hourly: $69.37. The Hiring Pay Scale is the budgeted salary or hourly rate; the Annual Full Pay Range may be broader due to internal equity, budget, and agreements. Legal and Compliance Vaccination Program compliance may be required. Life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment.
