in San Antonio, TX. University Health’s Heart and Vascular Institute is actively recruiting skilled cardiologists. As Texas’s third-largest public health system, University Health is expanding its cardiovascular services, which are provided across inpatient and outpatient settings. Inpatient services are at University Hospital, featuring over 700 beds, advanced catheterization labs, a cardiovascular ICU, cardiac imaging, VA ECMO, structural heart programs, and multidisciplinary teams. Outpatient services are available at multiple locations, with plans for expansion through new hospitals and clinics by 2027. Responsibilities include: Outpatient practice, Monday – Friday Inpatient rounding (up to four-six weeks), with occasional weekend calls Support in areas like cardio-metabolic/prevention, women’s cardiovascular health, vascular medicine, and advanced cardiac imaging (ECHO, CT, MRI, Nuclear, PET) Teaching opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows Benefits include: Competitive salary plus productivity incentives Relocation and loan repayment programs Comprehensive medical insurance and malpractice coverage Continuing education and CME days Retirement plan with employer match Generous PTO Why San Antonio?
