Overview
Chief Operating Officer – Multi-Location Construction and Utility Services - Private Equity Ownership. Our client is a middle-market construction and utility services business growing under private equity ownership and is seeking a Chief Operating Officer with significant experience driving operating performance efficiency in the construction and field services sectors. The position will have oversight of all aspects of the business ensuring productivity and profitability while overseeing significant growth initiatives. This role will focus on maintaining and growing strong momentum for the business while driving efficiencies as they broaden operations across multiple states. The company is poised to grow through acquisitive and organic strategies and looking for a hands-on growth-focused driver to continue to expand the scope of its market leadership. The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for leading and executing the strategy of this organization, overseeing the day-to-day operations with full P&L responsibility for the business. As COO, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and will manage all field services including schedules and equipment. You will develop and mentor a best-in-class organization, operating with a sense of urgency while making confident, strategic decisions. This position requires a leader with proven experience in leading field and customer support teams, in developing and implementing systems, processes and best practices. We are seeking a high-energy, process-oriented leader who will be involved across all aspects of the business and will be as comfortable in the board room as they are out in the field. Develop and mentor a best-in-class organization with a sense of urgency and decisive leadership. Lead the development and implementation of systems, processes, and best practices across the organization. Collaborate with CEO and executive team to support acquisitive and organic growth in new states. Operate across business segments to expand market leadership and profitability. Qualifications
Significant experience driving operating performance efficiency in construction and field services sectors. Hands-on, growth-focused leader with the ability to manage both field operations and corporate strategy. Proven experience leading field and customer support teams and implementing scalable systems and processes. Ability to work effectively with the CEO and executive team; comfortable in the boardroom and in field operations.
