Job Summary The RN’s practice is guided by the ANA Standards for Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics. The RN records medical histories, assists in diagnostic tests, operates medical equipment, administers treatments and medications, and supports patient follow-up and rehabilitation. The RN develops and contributes to care plans, educates patients and families, and collaborates with healthcare teams. The RN also precepts new staff and students, continuously enhancing their knowledge and skills. All RN staff caring for stroke patients must have knowledge of: Stroke symptoms and warning signs Protocols for stroke evaluation and management NIHSS Stroke alert protocols Stroke quality indicators Patient education materials and community resources Essential Functions

Systematically collect and analyze health data to develop individualized, evidence-based care plans. Implement interventions, including treatments, medications, and emergency measures, in a family-centered approach. Evaluate patient progress, document care, and ensure quality outcomes. Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice standards and ethical principles. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to ongoing professional development. Develop, evaluate, and implement evidence-based standards of care. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months or have 10 years of RN experience. Other educational requirements as specified for stroke care. Experience

More than 10 months in med-surg or acute specialty setting. 1 year RN experience for float positions. Licenses and Certifications

Current BLS certification. Arizona RN license or compact state license upon hire. National certification for specific patient populations preferred. Additional Details

Position is full-time, mid-senior level, based in Phoenix, AZ, with salary range $75,000-$100,000.
