About the Role

University of Kentucky HealthCare is seeking a Board Certified Chief of Developmental Pediatrics. The primary responsibilities of this individual will be to engage in research to develop and enhance research opportunities to include: Seek and apply for grant funding to support research. Provide research leadership and coordination for the Division of Developmental Pediatrics. Collaborate with other Pediatric and UK faculty to facilitate research and academic work products in alignment with Division and Department goals. Apply for and maintain IRB protocols. Plan for and participate in the implementation of interventions. Disseminate research through publications, conferences, community education, and collaborations with schools and agencies. Patient Care - Diagnose and provide compassionate health care to children who have developmental challenges. Administration - Advance the mission and vision of the division, mentorship of its members, streamlining of clinical services, excellence in interdisciplinary care, and strategic planning for the future in alignment with the goals of the College of Medicine and UK HealthCare. Professional Development - Actively participate in activities such as membership in study sections, advisory groups, professional societies, and/or other notable academic or scientific achievements.

Compensation, Bonus, CME, & PTO

Compensation will be discussed with complete transparency during the phone screen. A loan forgiveness bonus is available. Annual vacation time is 22 days per year (on a prorated basis) plus five bonus days at the Christmas/New Year timeframe.

Qualifications

Education: M.D./D.O. degree or equivalent. Experience: Eligibility for or actively licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Completed a residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Certifications: Board-certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
