Job Description
We are a practice of more than 90 hospitalists who are engrained in leadership roles throughout the healthcare system. We are looking for hospitalists who want to build a career in hospital medicine. We have multiple service lines and opportunities including procedures, oncology, malignant hematology, perioperative medicine, triage and nocturnal-focused shifts.
Schedule
Clinical responsibilities will be devoted to hospital inpatient medicine, working a combination of day, evening and night shifts on the Hospital Medicine Service at UK HealthCare Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals. Annual salary is based on an anticipated annual schedule (prorated for start date) of 25 weeks of rounding blocks (+/- 1 day) and 2-week blocks of jeopardy (backup) out of a total of 52 blocks/year (approx. 15-16 days/month) as a hospitalist in the Division of Hospital Medicine. This will include evening and night shift allocations as determined each year by the hospitalist coverage pool (typically 2-4 blocks/year). Additionally, clinical responsibilities may include efforts as attending physician on the Internal Medicine inpatient or consult service, clinical bedside teaching in hospital, participation in the department s courses for medical students and potentially teaching and supervision of residents.
