Columbia, SC is a wonderful place to live and work A small-town atmosphere within a metropolitan city, known for its museums, restaurants, and the University of SC Offers four-season outdoor activities, several championship golf courses, and is a short drive from the mountains and the beach Located near a 50,000-acre lake with boating and recreational opportunities, close to Atlantic Ocean beaches and mountains The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery dental officer performs a full range of professional dental procedures, including dentoalveolar surgery, complex dental extractions, treatment of orofacial infections and trauma, pre-prosthetic surgery, dental implants, and other OMS practices VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package The candidate must be experienced and competent in all aspects of OMS, including diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment care in the areas listed above Must be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and trained in providing IV conscious sedation Ability to manage medically complex patients, including inpatients, and perform a comprehensive history and physical Work collegially with other dentists and physicians, possessing strong interpersonal and professional skills The scope of practice is defined through the medical center's credentialing and privileging process Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (subject to change based on agency needs) Flexible or compressed work schedules may be discussed Telework: Not available Virtual work: Not applicable Relocation/Recruitment incentives are authorized for highly qualified applicants; PCS not authorized Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
