The McGahan Center, Quincy, MA. JOB TITLE: Case Manager- The McGahan Center ATS. REPORTS TO: Clinical Director. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Work with a team comprised of medical professionals, clinicians and Recovery Specialists to provide support, counseling and community referrals to individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. This will include facilitating individual and group counseling sessions and providing aftercare case management planning services.
Responsibilities
Discharge Planning Assist with getting prior authorizations and insurance provider approvals Assist Clients WITH Medication assisted treatment referrals Assisting with discharging and escorting patients off of the premise Utilizes crisis intervention skills to help de-escalate clients Conduct Comprehensive client assessments Enter client data into the MASS Enrollee Health Record Initiate the next steps in the continuum of care and/or Discharge Plan Ensure safety and security of clients Assist clients with basic life skills Attend weekly treatment team supervision Provide crisis intervention when necessary Driving Client’s in the absence of program drivers Ensuring clients attend groups and counseling as assigned Other Duties as needed and assigned
Requirements
Must have or be working toward Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and/or life experience equal to two years in substance abuse counseling program with clinical supervision. Must have effective speaking, writing and basic computer skills Knowledge of laws governing confidentiality and rules of ethical behavior If in recovery from alcohol/other substances must have two years of continuous sobriety Must meet Massachusetts CORI requirements. Must possess a valid MA driver’s license
Desired Skills
Working knowledge of 12 Step Programs Vocational Counseling Experience Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing or desire to learn CPR and Nasal Narcan Trained Team player who can work well in a challenging environment

ONSITE, SUNDAY AND MONDAY 8AM-4:30PM, FRIDAY 11:30PM-8AM
