Surgical capability is preferred; Dr. Hamilton can work with you to develop your surgical skills. Our clients are highly receptive to recommended treatments, making your work easier. The position offers a 36 to 40-hour work week, with potential earnings over $200,000. Our support staff is excellent, and we offer flexible scheduling based on your preferences. Responsibilities Provide routine examinations Diagnose illnesses and recommend treatments Administer vaccinations Prescribe medication Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being Update client records Preferred: Perform surgeries including dental, spay, and neuter Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree Previous veterinary work experience Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical concepts simply Problem-solving skills Availability for evening or weekend shifts when necessary Patience and a love for animals Equipment Digital radiography, including dental radiographs PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Stem Cells Digitherm Lameness scale for limb assessment Ultrasound Cutting laser and Cold Laser (2 in practice) Rigid endoscopy Full in-house laboratory
