Job Description

This position is responsible for leading the execution of a large cross functional internal project that will enable/create new capabilities for a new market. They will be responsible for managing the scope, timeline, and budget for the overall project to ensure that we are able to deliver and compete in a new market. This will include managing deliverables from internal teams and escalating at appropriate times to ensure that timelines are met, scope is managed to meet the intended goal, and the budget is not exceeded.

Pay Range: $175,000 - $190,000 / year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

Lead the successful execution of large, complex projects that create and deliver new capabilities or value propositions to Quest Diagnostics.

Create Project plan and meeting cadence that supports the successful implementation of a specific objective or set of objectives.

Create urgency with responsible execution partners/functions as well as ensure complete thinking about process impacts that the new capability will impart on existing functions.

Manage the budget for the project to ensure performance against budget is consistent with business goals. In the event that there are changes or updates, responsible for updating budget and ensuring executive leadership approval is attained as well as ensuring operational support for the changes.

Proactively engage in defining and redefining scope of the project to ensure that business objectives will be achieved and positive NPV will be delivered to the business.

Deliver project within the agreed timeline. This will require indirectly managing and influencing cross functional partners to deliver and also escalating at appropriate times when timelines or deliverables are being compromised in a way that jeopardizes the NPV or business objectives originally conceived with the project.

Think critically about business and business practice to ensure that it is legally compliant and also operationally optimized to deliver better than industry standard solutions

Qualifications Required Work Experience:

12+ years of experience in laboratory, biopharma, and/or diagnostic industry delivering significant, complex projects

Preferred Work Experience:

7+ years of experience in a similar role in a contract research organization.

Physical And Mental Requirements:

Office work and periodic travel

Knowledge:

Highly Skilled user of Microsoft Office suite and other computer-based applications.

Skills:

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Quantitatively-inclined

Strong/expert communications

Required:

Travel between 20-30%

BS or BA from an accredited university

Preferred:

MBA or MS
