Oncology & Infusion Center Responsibilities
The Department of Internal Medicine is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our team. The Physician is responsible for administering and interpreting all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations within the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This position will educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments; may also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's healthcare provider. 4- or 5-days outpatient clinic; inpatient coverage (rotating call schedule); onsite laboratory, imaging, infusion center and pharmacy; EPIC EMR system; in person and virtual visits; Mmodal dictation with possible AI-enabled scribe in near future. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility Working knowledge in the assigned area, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the specialty area Good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills Self-directed with initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach Patient-centered and patient-valued behavior Duties and Essential Job Functions
Coordinate multidisciplinary care to optimize patient care Review patient medical charts to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families Make appropriate patient referrals as necessary Monitor guidelines for management of care and ensure services are delivered in compliance with JPS Health Network and Acclaim guidelines Provide evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients; demonstrate patient-centered behavior Maintain a collaborative environment with referring physicians, residents, clinical staff, and support staff Support academic, educational and research endeavors Attend Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; participate in the process Partner to build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for those who encounter JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group Serve as a resource to the community Performs other job related duties as assigned Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine; Residency and/or Fellowship training within specialty Opportunity to participate in the development of new sickle cell disease clinic Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas Board Certification or Board Eligible Location Address: 1450 8th Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, 76104, United States
