Overview Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Hickory has a temperate climate and abundance of natural resources. You will be just minutes from Lake Norman, the largest lake in North Carolina with upscale lake shore communities, eateries, and recreational opportunities. You will also be close to both Charlotte and Asheville.
