Job Description The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist I is responsible for establishing and expanding clinical services within their area of practice. This includes developing medication protocols, order sets, facilitating medication utilization reviews, and leading performance improvement projects to optimize drug therapy. The role provides mentorship and serves as a clinical resource for staff and healthcare providers, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The specialist also performs drug distribution functions as assigned, works with diverse patient populations, and meets quality standards as per the quality improvement process. Estimated salary range is $117,150.22 - $152,295.29 annually, depending on experience.

Qualifications

Doctorate (Pharm.D.)

Registered Pharmacist license

Additional Qualifications

Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

Board Certification or BPS certification within one year of hire if no residency training

PGY1 residency with 2 years of practice in the specialty and BPS certification required

PGY2 residency with BPS certification within 1 year of hire

Experience requirements: PGY1 = 3 years, PGY2 = 2 additional years

Minimum Required Experience Relevant practice experience as specified above.
