Job Title: Staff Urologist
The Surgical Service of the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting for a staff Urologist.
Responsibilities include:
Providing operative and non-operative care to diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate conditions of the genitourinary tract, including adrenal glands, kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, testicles, and external genitalia.
Approaching the kidneys through the flank or peritoneal cavity.
Taking call proportionate to other Urologists at this facility, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Involving family members or guardians in patient care.
Collaborating with other medical providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Performing invasive procedures such as prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, vasectomies, circumcisions, and treatment of genital lesions.
Assuming total responsibility for perioperative care of patients.
Providing urologic care to all Veterans, including those with spinal cord injury and female patients, covering admissions, diagnosis, consultation, and medication management.
Performing urologic surgeries such as excision/drainage of tumors or cysts, ESWL, endourologic treatments, and laser procedures. Da Vinci experience is preferred.
Office Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
