Overview
The University of Florida Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure/non-tenure track Professor position. The appointee will cover clinical services and contribute to the Division’s teaching mission for students, residents, and fellows, with the option for assignments at the VA. The position includes opportunity for protected time for clinical and translational research projects, if applicable. Applicants should be board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Diseases. Responsibilities
Provide clinical services as part of the Division and/or at the affiliated University teaching hospital or VA Hospital. Contribute to teaching and mentoring of students, residents, and fellows. Participate in clinical and translational research with protected effort where applicable. Engage in administration, clinical investigation, and mentorship to foster a progressive and dynamic work environment and support teaching and research missions. Qualifications
Board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Diseases. Eligible for Florida Medical License. Record of distinguished accomplishments and proficiency in clinical duties, administration, and clinical investigation, including mentoring new physicians and promoting teaching and research. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with education and experience. Location and Other Details
This faculty position may be based at the University teaching hospital or at the adjacent VA Hospital, both of which serve designated shortage areas and/or medically underserved populations. The Gainesville region offers favorable cost of living, strong schools, and year-round recreational opportunities.
