Deliver primary care services to patients, treating a wide range of medical conditions and developing long-term, personal relationships with patients. Develop individualized healthcare programs based on patient history data and provide ongoing support and health management guidance. Promote continuity of care by collaborating with other members of the healthcare team. Educate patients in health management and disease prevention. Assist in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines; participate in medical staff peer review, performance improvement, continuing education, risk management and clinical indicator selection. Supervise physician assistants/nurse practitioners on day-to-day activities where appropriate. Evaluate phone calls and determine appropriate dispositions; document in the Health Record using EMR (Allscripts/Veradigm). Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the Georgia Composite Board based on the Georgia Medical Practice Act. Minimum Education, Experience & Skills
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required; current State of Georgia license in good standing. Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required. Current Georgia Medical License required. Valid DEA required. Completion of a family practice/internal medicine residency. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and spoken communication skills; caring, attentive nature. Working understanding and support of a managed care environment. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans. Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred. Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; use fine motor skills to operate office equipment. Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing; use logical reasoning for problem solving. Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required. Competitive base with uncapped monthly bonus;
$30K retention bonus . Malpractice coverage. 4 weeks PTO; 1 week for CME plus stipend; 6 paid holidays on top of PTO. Extensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, and pet insurance.
