This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for this position, but Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels such as X-ray Technologist II based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Shift: 7a-730p Union: Yes
Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.
Job Duties:
Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
Operates all equipment within the modality proficiently.
Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology during examinations.
Assists physicians with various procedures.
Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
Maintains related records and notations.
Participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
Participates in the educational training of students.

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)
Experience and Certification(s):
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
