Job Description The faculty physician is responsible for patient care in hospitals and clinics, as well as engaging in research, education, and advocacy initiatives as directed by the Division Chief and/or Center leadership. Qualifications Minimum Education Medical Doctor (M.D.) from an accredited medical school (Required) Minimum Work Experience 0 years (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Understanding of legal and ethical standards. Ability to evaluate patient problems independently and develop care plans. Ethical patient communication skills. Supervisory and training abilities. Commitment to Continuing Medical Education and staying current in subspecialty developments. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care. Required Licenses and Certifications Full medical license and credentialing at Children’s National Medical Center. Board certification or eligibility in primary specialty. Secondary specialty certification is preferred. Commitment to Education : Participate in educational programs; supervise trainees; provide feedback; ensure proper orientation. Commitment to Quality & Compliance : Follow policies and standards; complete documentation; participate in quality improvement; review care protocols; report errors. Organizational Accountabilities Respond to customer needs; demonstrate teamwork and respectful communication; contribute to a positive work environment; identify process improvements; use resources efficiently; promote safety; communicate clearly; verify information; act cautiously and promptly. Location: District of Columbia, Washington at CN Hospital (Main Campus) Position Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary Range: $150,000 - $450,000 Children's National Hospital is an equal opportunity employer.
