Overview
The Division of Nephrology at the University of Arizona is looking to hire a clinical transplant nephrologist at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level.
The selected candidate will be part of a growing team of committed academic physicians serving the expanding population of Southern Arizona, specifically concentrating on the growth of living donor kidney program. In addition to attending on inpatient transplant nephrology consult services and participating in the outpatient care of kidney and non-kidney transplant patients. There will be opportunities to participate in rapid growth of our transplant program affiliated with Banner University Medical Center-Tucson. There will also be ample opportunities for academic growth, development and mentorship. The candidate selected will receive a non-tenured faculty appointment to the University of Arizona consistent with their credentials. Competitive packages will be available for the appropriate candidate. Responsibilities
Attend on inpatient transplant nephrology consult services. Participate in outpatient care of kidney and non-kidney transplant patients. Participate in the growth of the living donor kidney program and the transplant program affiliated with Banner University Medical Center-Tucson. Engage in academic growth, development and mentorship opportunities. Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Nephrology. Successful completion of a General Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology Fellowship. Desire and ability to participate in clinical research, teaching, and publications. Team player with the ability to think creatively and work collaboratively. Committed to patient care and to science. Work Schedule / Call
3-4 clinics per week plus 6 months as the attending on inpatient service. Inpatient Rounding: 15-20 patients average. Outpatient Clinic: 12 patients average (open clinic environment). Weekend/night call: 1:4 (shared equally). About Banner University Medicine
