t Position Overview: Urology San Antonio is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated
Urologist
with expertise in
Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)
to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive urologic care for both
men and women , focusing on urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder, and other complex urologic conditions. This role involves both
ambulatory and surgical care , with opportunities for clinical research and education. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Provide
comprehensive urologic care
for both male and female patients. Diagnose and treat conditions such as urinary incontinence, neurogenic bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and other urologic disorders. Perform
minimally invasive, robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal, and open surgeries
as appropriate. Deliver inpatient consultations and oversee postoperative care and outpatient follow-ups. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams
including urogynecologists, colorectal surgeons, and pelvic floor specialists. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and institutional guidelines for
patient safety and care quality . Research & Professional Development: Participate in
clinical research
and contribute to ongoing studies within the department. Assist in patient recruitment for
research programs
and clinical trials as needed. Qualifications: Required Education & Experience: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Completion of an
ACGME-accredited residency in Urology . Board Certification or active candidate status with the
American Board of Urology . Fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)
or significant experience in the field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
minimally invasive and robotic surgery . Proven leadership in a clinical or academic setting. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a
multidisciplinary environment .
