Overview
The Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Hospital is seeking a board eligible/certified neurologist with additional UCNS-accredited fellowship training in headache to join our multi-disciplinary neurology team. The program currently includes three UCNS-certified headache specialists and a physician assistant, with over 30 years of experience in the medical management of headache and migraine. Our busy clinical practice treats over 3,000 headache and migraine patients per year and includes an outpatient headache infusion center and a procedure clinic offering peripheral nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections. The department collaborates with ENT, Pain, Neurosurgery, and other clinical teams that care for patients with headache and facial pain disorders. Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute is large, active, and engaged in clinical trials and neurology research. As an academic program, we are involved in translational research and provide opportunities for teaching and scholarly activity.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical care in headache and migraine management within a multidisciplinary neurology team.
Participate in the outpatient headache infusion center and the procedure clinic, including peripheral nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections.
Collaborate with departments such as ENT, Pain, Neurosurgery, and other clinical teams to care for patients with headache and facial pain disorders.
Engage in teaching and academic activities with medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program.
Must have completed or currently completing a Headache Medicine fellowship program.
Current board certification is desired.
Academic Appointment A tenure-track academic appointment is offered through Wayne State University School of Medicine.
