The Neuromuscular Program with Henry Ford Health is seeking a board eligible/certified Neurologist with additional fellowship training in Neurophysiology and/or Neuromuscular to join our multi-disciplinary team. With 10 fellowship-trained Neurologists and one Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Sports Medicine Physician, Henry Ford's Neuromuscular Program has over 20 years of experience in the medical management of neuromuscular diseases. Our busy clinical practice completes over 10,000 visits and 4,000 EMGs annually. Our six electromyography (EMG) labs have been designated Accreditation with Exemplary Status by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Utilize state-of-the-art EMG labs equipped with single-fiber EMG and autonomic testing instrumentation.

Opportunity to teach medical students, neurology residents, and neurophysiology fellows.

Position also offers a tenure-track academic appointment for those who qualify through Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine and Wayne State University's School of Medicine.

As an academic program, we are active in clinical trials and neurology research. Henry Ford's Neuroscience Institute is one of the largest and most active in the Midwest, offering the most advanced neurologic medical and surgical therapies across all major subspecialties. Currently, more than 180 clinical trials are ongoing for patients with neurological diseases. All centers within the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute conduct research with a major focus on translational research to fast-trace scientific discovery from bench to bedside. We also have the Harry J. Hoenselaar multidisciplinary ALS clinic, a certified treatment center of excellence.

This atomic subspecialty practice position offers time for educational and other academic endeavors, including a teaching role with medical students, neurology residents, and neurophysiology fellows, as well as a tenure-track academic appointment for those who qualify through Michigan State University – College of Human Medicine.

Qualifications

Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program.

Must be completing or have completed an ACGME approved Neuromuscular and/or Neurophysiology fellowship program.

Must be board-eligible/board-certified in Neurology.
