Hospital privileges at ECU Health Chowan Hospital
25-bed hospital
100% inpatient clinical care
Provider must be comfortable with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
LT must respond to the hospital within 20 minutes
Low Volume Emergency Department (7 beds)
Epic EMR
No ICU responsibilities
LT will not respond to codes
ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients when needed
Delivery and coverage
Delivery volume per month is 28-34. Vacation call coverage is needed from November 15 through November 24 (8a-8a).
Requirements for locum’s coverage beyond 6 months
Current ALSO Certification
Evidence of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years
Current NRP certification (required for ECU Health Community Hospital obstetricians)
