Job Description - Research Faculty (250001A5) Position Overview The Research Faculty at Children's National Hospital holds a position greater than 0.50 FTE and must meet the requirements for a full Faculty appointment at the George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The role involves developing and conducting research, securing external funding, supervising staff and students, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and participating actively in the research community. Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Medical Doctor (M.D.) Minimum of 2 years of progressive specialized research experience Potential to contribute uniquely to their research field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to secure funding, develop manuscripts, and deliver presentations Functional Responsibilities Responsible Conduct of Research:

Adhere to standards, manage projects, use resources appropriately, maintain confidentiality, and complete compliance training. Research Commitment:

Conduct original research, review manuscripts, publish, seek funding, collaborate, and supervise research staff and students. Teaching and Mentorship:

Participate in educational programs, mentor students, and supervise staff. Additional Details Location:
