Cal State Fullerton seeks an exceptional individual to join our team as the Gift Processor (Accounting Technician II). The Gift Processor will record, document, and receipt all gifts and memberships received by the CSU Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation in a timely and accurate manner, maintain donor database records, conduct quality controls, process and maintain monthly payroll deduction gifts, and respond to inquiries from University Advancement staff regarding gift deposits. This role requires considerable judgment, initiative, and independence in cash receipts/accounts receivable accounting and provides support for complex accounting processes and customer service to division and campus partners. The Gift Processor will serve as the primary contact for the matching gift program for CSU Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
Record, document, and receipt all gifts and memberships received by the CSU Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain donor database records and perform quality controls. Process and maintain monthly payroll deduction gifts. Respond to inquiries from University Advancement staff regarding gift deposits. Support cash receipts/accounts receivable accounting; provide exceptional customer service to division and campus partners. Serve as the primary contact for the matching gift program. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications
Background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. Conditional offers may be rescinded if disqualifying information is revealed or information is knowingly withheld or falsified. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect continued employment. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education. Experience with accounts receivable and/or accounts payable processing. Proficiency with data extraction and analysis using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial formulas) and reporting. Experience with online financial systems, maintaining financial ledgers/records, and making correcting entries in accordance with GAAP. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Excel. Must be able to work the annual commencement ceremonies. Additional Information
